[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I think I’ve tried a couple of things from Haus Labs before but now I’ve got a very comprehensive view of the collection by Lady Gaga, starting with the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation which is a product that I’ve seen getting raves across the internet for its twenty skin care ingredient line-up.
It’s a serum texture that immediately feels comfortable on the skin in the way that a skin care serum would – it’s tempting to apply with fingers for that reason but I stuck to a brush because I think you lose a lot of product to your fingers rather than saving it for the face. The finish is ‘second skin’ so aims for the same light and texture as your own complexion but I’d say that it’s more of a glow finish and at this point I’d caution anyone with oily skin that it may be just a bit too shiny. Hand on heart, I can’t say quite whether the fermented arnica is going to do anything substantial for your skin, but we all know that skin’s microbiome is always happier with a bit of ferment. There are fifty shades – impressive! Although it looks glorious on the skin, there wasn’t much to take off at the end of the day so you may have to a quick reapplication if you’re wearing it for the long haul.
The product that I fell unexpectedly but immediately in love with is the Bio Radiant Gel Powder Highlighter – what a gorgeous texture of the softest, creamiest powder you’ll ever come across. Creamy powder seems like a contradiction in terms but this is exactly that.
First, I have to ask you to ignore the wobbly kohl line on my eye – I thought I’d blended it in (the Optic Intensity Eco Eyeliner has this beautiful little smudging brush rather than a nobbly bit of rubber) but meno brain got in the way and here we are. What I’m mainly showing you in the picture is the finish of the foundation and that lip colour!
This is the Atomic Shake Lip Lacquer which weirdly doesn’t show up on Sephora where Haus is exclusively sold in the UK. The shade is Rose Shine and my goodness – this will see you through an earthquake. I’m not sure if it’s gone for a repackage, has been discontinued (would be surprising because the brand is relatively new) or it’s just sold out – according to Reddit, the latter is the case. As testament to its long last, it took me nearly forever to remove!
I think these swatches give you a full and accurate picture of how the products really are. At the bottom is Optic Intensity Eco Eyeliner in Matte Black, Bio Radiant Gel Powder Highlighter, Atomic Shake and Triclone Skin Tech Foundation. I think we can have preconceptions about ‘celebrity’ cosmetic ranges but in recent years (Kardashian excluded) certain celebs have really put themselves to the task and come out on top and I’d describe Haus Labs as one of them, ably (and mainly, probably) curated by Lady GaGa’s make up artist, Sarah Tanno.
