Haus Labs PHD Hybrid Lip Glaze Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] When I first opened the Haus Labs PHD Hybrid Lip Glazes that had been sent for review, I felt disappointed because there wasn’t a single colour I would have chosen for myself. And, as so often happens, I am completely wrong – they’re completely lovely.

I should point out that the first in line is actually a lip oil in shade Secondary. However, the others are all glazes and I love the texture – the brushes are on point for easy coverage and the formula feels very lightly tacky in a way that makes you feel it will stay on your lips a while rather than constant re-touching.

The lip oil is really very sheer indeed. You won’t see much colour from this but there’s a very slight nuance of orange if you stare long enough. The Glaze is called Praline and it’s just that right kind of a neutral – a bit of warmth behind it and plenty of glossy shine to make your lips look succulent.

Praline is perfect for my colouring – a wearable shade that I could wear every day for a lower key look. If I would change anything about these pictures it would be that I’d worn a coral blush just for a pop of colour.

These two are Persimmon and Cocoa – way too deep, right?

Well, as it happens, no! The left is Cocoa and the right is Persimmon. The thing about these glazes is that they’re not full coverage so the light created by the gloss is allowed to bounce about and give a full on shine that diffuses the pigment. This is a peptide formula that uses prickly pear oil to nourish.

From bottom to top in the swatch: Praline, Secondary (oil), Persimmon and Cocoa. Look at the grey tones to Cocoa – that’s why it’s so ravishing! They’re £22 each HERE which feels pretty reasonable to me.
