I go to quite a few award events but I’ve just come back from the Cosmo Fun Fearless Women awards that celebrates amazing women with a mix of celeb and non-celeb awards and it really was fabulous. Food was a yummy chicken dinner – proper food that made Vernon Kay happy – followed by Baily’s & Pineapple cocktails – weirdly delicious but I couldn’t drink a whole one! Highlights of the night were getting Pixie Lott to tweet my twit-pals on @britbeautyblog, with her very quick fingers painted with alternate green and black polish, catching Dannii Minogue powdering her nose before going in front of the cameras and getting a sneaky peek at the celebrity gifting suite (Uggs..boxes and boxes of them, Olay beauty gifts stacked sky high!). As ever, my camera skills won’t win any awards but I wanted to share the evening with you, so here they are in random order.

at the risk of sounding like a… fan…doesn’t Minogue look amazing.
Is it botox (still) or just good genes? Or does she have a bloody secret…because if she does I want to know about it. Even if it involves milking puppy milk in the lowlands of the Burma.

I once did a shoot with Dannii. She arrived barefaced, teeny-tiny. She really transformed with make-up though, she has one of those faces that ‘takes’ make-up really well. I suspect she may have had a little ‘help’ since then. But she really knows her beauty, she’s an afficionado and first got me onto Laura Mercier lipbalm!
