Guerlain Terracotta 2013 Swatches

In this post, I’ll focus on the colour offerings from Guerlain and do another on the bronzing products later. First up, the nails:

The new ten strong Colour Lacquer from Guerlain, £18, launching in March is beautiful. I’m so taken with the bold and strong shades they’ve introduced, with some quieter tones as well. Of the above, there isn’t one colour there that I wouldn’t love to have on my nails. The first one (top of pic) is Champs Elysees, then Nahema, then Rouge d’Enfer and the final is exactly what it says – a protective base coat (a silicone derivative grafted onto a salicylic acid chain to reinforce the nail and make it stronger).

Gloss D’Enfer Maxi Shine is exactly that – a lot of shine going on. I only have three here, and much as I don’t like glitter-mouth, the shimmer in Tangerine Vlam (centre) is so fine that I’d probably wear it on a steamy, hot summer’s day. The top shine is Candy Strip and the bottom one is Rouge Shebam. While they look very loud in the tube, on skin they translate to a semi-translucent colour that is really very vibrant without taking over your whole face.

You can even see Tangerine Vlam twinkling away there! They’re all so wearable and joyful – I’m completely craving the sun now (and a beach to go with it would be lovely!). These will be £22 each.

  1. these look so pretty! I had an old Clarins gloss that was orange-coral with sparkles I loved so much, I shall have to investigate these!
