You have to wonder just how many times Guerlain can reinvent the Terracotta wheel. But every year, I’m surprised at just how they’ve managed to create such covetable variations on a theme.
Guerlain 2013 Terracotta Tailor Made Bronzing PowderSix harmonies (four new) of Terracotta 4 Seasons mean you can choose exactly what’s right for your skin tone and by picking out one or two shades from the compact, you can vary the shade throughout the year, when you need either less or more. They’re £46 each.
And a closer look!
This is where Guerlain divides the sun-seekers and the pale-and-interesting. If you’ve sworn off sun bathing then you probably won’t need this, but I like to have a gentle tan in the summer, so it’s going straight into my summer-ready pile. Basically, Sun Serum contains 15 times more tan booster than any of the other products so you can mix it in with your moisturiser pre-holiday to start the melanin enhancing process (you only need 4 drops in your body product or two in your facial moisturiser). It’s £30.
Similarly, the Sun Moisturizer and Tan Booster above is targeted at blondes and brunettes with SPF30 and SPF15 respectively. It’s enriched with a tan boost complex to help you get your tan going that bit quicker. I almost always use a tan booster and what tends to happen is that I get a better tan more quickly without having to bake in the dangerous hours.
There are a few other bits and bobs but these are my favourites so far. The range launches in March.
