Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde

I picked the perfect day to try out Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde – it’s super-hot and sunny outside and London summers are anything but fresh. I’m always totally eye-rolly at French fragrance press releases – they are off the scale over the top! So, I’m just not going to even look – on the back of the box it says “Enjoy a Caipirinha under the lemon trees on the banks of the Amazon river”.  It’s just a detail, but I think you would be very hard pushed to find any lemon trees along the Amazon river.

However, the fragrance itself – green, green and greener – so fresh it’s like lying in grass surrounded by daisies. The sharpness of the green is cut with a backdrop of sweetness – it’s genuinely a lovely, summery fragrance that made me smile when I smelled it. It’s lemony and limey at the same time but also grassy and tart – really, summer scent perfected. Grab a spritz if you can! It’s £42 HERE.

  1. I love your dig at the press release, I too always have a giggle when I read those copy-cat verses! Thanks for the review, I will go have a sniff.

  3. I bought a mini set in duty free of four of the scents from the collection and I layer them! Delicious and everyone wants to know what I am wearing and how can they get it!

This sounds lovely for summer! Not heavy & very fresh! Will have to at least sniff this once it becomes available.
