Givenchy Prisme Libre Limited Edition

This just goes to show how an existing product can be transformed with a different colour! Givenchy Prisme Libre Limited Edition is obviously for Chinese New Year, where the colour red is considered lucky, and the outer packaging and the lid have been temporarily swapped for red.

By the way – fortune cookies are mine; you won’t get a message with your powder although I kind of like the idea. So, back to the product. Prisme Libre contains four shades of micro fine powder to knock down any shine. I think this is a product for those who love to really pay attention to the minutae of base application; as you’d imagine the shades are designed to colour correct but with such a fine powder, it’s not going to be obvious.

The powder shades are violet, buff, green and white. I think this is a make-up artist product where even minute tone differences will show up on a camera close up, but as a powder to reduce shine and give skin that kind of perfected, lightly mattifying finish. It’s not an essential, but it is a thing of great beauty! I should also add that Givenchy Prisme Libre Limited Edition is scented very lightly with lilac and white musk.

It’s £35 HERE.

I’m really sorry.. you are right – have posted the new link because even though Escentual were showing the product on their site, it doesn’t, er, seem to exist on their site!

  3. Saw this at the airport last night and was wondering if it was some sort of powder colour correcting concealer? I’m too clumsy for loose powder in small boxes but it looked interesting! x
