Gen See Cruise Eye Liners

[unpaid/sample] My life-long quest for metallic kohls is almost over! I say almost because as yet, the Gen See Cruise Eye Liners don’t include a metallic black or brown which would be all my birthdays come at once. They’re not billed as kohls, but as eye liners. Nonetheless, I am wearing metallic shade, Fiery Copper, on my water line and not only is it staying put, but it’s highly metallic and looks awesome.

Gen See Cruise Eye Liners

There are six shades – the first three are matte: NYC in Jet Black, MILANO in Chocolate Brown and PROVENCE in Lavender Pastel, and three metallics: MIAMI in Teal, BANKIK in Hot Pink, LOS ANGELES Fiery Copper. Gosh, if I could tweak those metallic shades, I would – give me a smouldering khaki, a deep grey, an intense navy, a glimmering black, a shiny conker brown and a deep copper and I will be happy for the rest of my life.

The mattes are lush and lovely, of course, but I want that extra intensity that metallics can bring. I’m impressed with the last but more metallic colours please – there are a million matte eyeliners in the world and hardly any decent metallic water-line liners. They’re £19 each HERE.

    Hi Jane

What do you think to the Urban Decay 24 u Glide on Pencils? https://www.urbandecay.co.uk/en_GB/eyes/eyeliner/24-7-glide-on-eye-pencil/122.html

A quick search of your blog history shows you have reviewed a couple in the past. I’ve always found them very long wearing and they come in a variety of shades and finishes (including metallic).

      agreed – they’re really good.

Gosh make metallic eyeliners (Sky Blue is one of my favourites – it’s a perfect dupe for the long discontinued Urban Decay Abyss, which I loved), and so do Flormar (Ultra Blue is a proper 80s electric blue).

I think what I’m really looking for is colours like Victoria Beckham’s gold that has black at the base of it so you still get a kind of smoulder. A lot of these electric shades don’t have black at the back so you get quite a stark look – they’re just a bit too bright without the tempering of black.

Kiko have some amazing metallic and matt eyeliner shades, I think you’d really like them.
