[unpaid/affiliate] My garden solar lights are one of my great pleasures in life. I have some in the fig tree outside my kitchen window and on the patio area. I quite often give solar lights as gifts because they’re just so wonderful and my favourites are the Moroccan style lanterns that throw light patterns to the ground.

Solar

These come in various shapes and patterns starting at £39 HERE. I know that Amazon is a last resort for most of us but they have a good selection and I’ve used this brand HERE with no problems at all (main pic).

Moroccan Festoon

John Lewis has these Moroccan style festoon lights for £15 HERE which has 20 lights so you can wrap around a small tree or fence. They’re not expensive, so depending upon the size you want to cover, you might want two sets.

Oliver Bonas

I found these Starburst lights at Oliver Bonus at £29 for the pair HERE  and it turns out that these are an outdoor lighting ‘trend’. I think I can see why because they’re just beautiful!

Festoon Lights

If you’ve got a large area to cover, these festoon lights from M&S are 9 metres according to the description and at £29.50 HERE seem like a bargain to me. I’ve got a variety of stake lights and some little single light bulb lights too – I think I’m making it sound like Blackpool Pleasure Beach in my garden but I promise, they’re really pretty. They came into their own in lockdown actually when we could only have people round outside and I made the patio look so nice with our little table (no shared serving cutlery, wipes for the salt and pepper, sanitizer side order etc etc!). I should say that if you are member of Brand Alley they have some beauties HERE.
