I have some stunning new pieces to show you from L’Era Jewellery, the beautiful brand founded by mother and daughter team, Lara and Angèle. The Tesori Collection is a celebration of resilience and beauty found in imperfection that’s inspired by Roman architecture which has stood the test of time with strength and grace. Can you see why I love it? It has so many parallels with how I feel beauty – particularly older beauty – should be viewed and considered. Tesori, designed by Angèle, is intricate, authentic and true, finding elegance, refinement and humanity in every item. I have a few to show you and I can’t tell you how much I liked taking the pictures – I have so many!
Let’s start with the ultimate symbol of strength – the Venus Goddess Pendant (£129, chain separate) – which is available in gold vermeil or silver. A beauty just waiting for your white summer shirts (extra button undone please) and your oversized sunglasses, the pendant is art, mythology and glamour all in one. Venus is the goddess of love in Roman mythology as well as beauty, victory, fertility and prosperity – one busy goddess but somehow getting it all done!
I mean, come on – isn’t she lovely (and I don’t mean me). Before talking about that ravishing pearl necklace that’s dipping so nicely into my cleavage (and proud!) let’s take a look at the rings.
I love rings – somehow I’ve come to them after being pretty disinterested in them for a long time. I don’t even have room for my wedding ring these days and I like to wear a lot at once. If you’re going to do rings, do rings. In this picture you can see the charming Giovanna Freshwater Pearl Ring (£49) and the Intricato Ring (£85). I chose the Giovanna because it’s such a ‘me’ piece, and Lara chose the Intricato which I would never have picked out for myself but now – of course – absolutely love. I like its irregularity, its unexpectedness and its warmth on my finger – I’m trying not to picture myself actually in Rome wearing it in the sunshine, sipping a cocktail at a roof top bar and gazing across the skyline. I went to Rome for the very first time last year and despite thinking I wouldn’t, gosh, I loved it.
I think I’m like a lot of us in valuing our jewellery by the person who gave it to us or a particular place it came from but the symbolism of Tesori is rather moving – it’s the collection that I think you might buy for yourself as a thank you to you for being all of the goddess things but with none of the cherubs or handmaidens to lend you a hand.
The Giovanna pendant (£69, chain separate) manages to look both delicate and chunky at the same time. All freshwater pearls are different – no two exactly alike – and the unpredictable molten nature of its vermeil surround feels exactly right. It’s taken pearl clutching to a whole new level and I honestly can’t stop touching it. I’d wear the Giovanna pendant with a maxi dress, a black jump suit (luckily I have two!) and any vibrant or neutral summer linen tops. I’ve got a coral fine knit sweater that Giovanna is going to make sing when I put them together but at the same time, I think my white linen shirt is going to show her at her best.
I’m putting this picture in because it’s taken in a different light and looks very summery which is the season I think that Tresori will quite literally allow you to shine. It’s also a lead into the discount code of 15%* using JANE15 on this LINK (it’s more if you’re a paying subscriber on my Substack HERE) and a chance to tell you to sign up to L’Era HERE for a very good reason – they hold two annual sample sales with one coming up soon. You’ll find discounts of 50%-80% off. The website is shut down for the day with only subscribers receiving an access link and as a warning, 90% of stock goes in the first half an hour so be quick!
Everything I have showed you is for the gold vermeil price – there’s a silver (and less expensive) option for everything, but I wanted to point out that L’Era’s vermeil is 18ct gold over sterling silver and it’s 2.5 microns which is up to ten times thicker than flash plating. I have several L’Era pieces and despite wearing the bracelets every single day, they’ve lasted through thick and thin, by which I mean shower and bath and general knock aboutness extremely well.
