[unpaid/affiliates] I started this Friday Treat off with the theme of red because a splash of colour in this current beige fronted fashion world feels necessary and red goes with all neutrals. But, I have been totally swayed by Boden newness – yes, I’ve ordered the T-shirt that you’ll see – because everything (bar one!) looks so fresh and enticing – there is some red but I didn’t stick to just that. I got served a code for 15% off all new items and it’s 6TG7 so I hope it works for you.
I very nearly put this beautiful embroidered top in my basket too but I’m 5ft3ins and I just couldn’t imaging trailing the puff sleeves about – they’d probably hit the floor. If you are a tall gal, read on!
None of this stops me coveting it and making it my mission to find a similar top where I can fold the sleeves. Obviously, you can put jeans or denim shorts with this, but equally consider white trousers or shorts, neutral both or even khaki. The model in the pictures is 5ft 9 so if you’re that or more this is for you! It’s called the Nia Embroidered Top, is 100% cotton and comes in sizes XS to XL – oh, and there is a blue verison as well. Find them HERE. Not cheap at £76 but what price the perfect boho?
100% yes to this gorgeous floral print in 80% linen. It should be giving you Mustique vibes – add white shorts or jeans, a pair of oversized sunglasses, long shell necklaces and you are the belle of the beach. We are nowhere near beach weather yet, so this might be a holiday buy or an early-bird-catches-the-worm purchase. I try to make one of these early buys because when the mood is actually right, they’re all sold out. This is already listed under Boden’s ‘selling like hot cakes’ label. I mean, I’ll just assume they’re not making that up. Size wise, there are options from size 4 to size 22 HERE and it costs £95.
This is the pom-pom t-shirt I’ve ordered because I could not leave it behind. A white t-shirt is really the foundation to any spring or summer wardrobe and people get very picky about them – no thanks James Perse £80 a pop. I get my V necks from Zara and have very few round necks because I don’t feel as happy in them. This version is the exception – I hope. If it feels too chokey it will have to go back (but I pray not!). Style wise, just follow the Boden look book and wrap several necklaces round your neck at once, pile on some bangles and it won’t really matter what else you’re wearing. I’d wear this under a strappy dress, with jeans (of course, ripped if you have them) or with shorts. It’s £36 HERE in sizes 4 to 22.
Let me tell you, cherries are a thing this year, both in fashion and in beauty. With stripes going across the top, you can get out your flares – linen, denim, cotton – and create a perfect shape harmony with this Breton twist top. I’m not a navy wearer – everything I see in navy I automatically think it will look better in black, but somehow I can’t imagine this being any better in black – worse, in fact. It’s £44 HERE. Is it just me, or is Boden getting more and more expensive? I had my Me & Em catalogue through the post and I know that these days I am priced out – I can’t think of a brand that has upped its prices as frequently and quickly as that one. I don’t even look at it.
There are three colour ways for this cardigan-with-frills but if you want to brighten your world. A slight word of warning though – the model is listed as 5ft10ins and she’s still having to push the sleeves up. I just think there looks like there is more pushed up than would push down to exactly the wrists. Nonetheless, it’s got pockets and we all know that pockets are the best accessory you can have on anything (maybe not a pencil skirt) for a fashion elevation. This is £120 HERE in XS to XL.
I would be all over this cotton shirt like a rash if weren’t for the unfortunate circular placings. I mean, who didn’t spot that in production? I can’t see anything else. If you want to run the risk that someone will parp your boobs, be my guest. It’s the Sienna silk shirt (loads of options other than boobies) which is £120 HERE and comes in size 4 – 22.
