[unpaid/sample] Apparently, the body category is SpaceNK’s fastest rising beauty area – we have had a dearth of decent body products for a long time and suddenly it looks like the gap is being filled. But, I don’t know about you, but I find it very hard to spend a lot on body lotions especially when I know that the old stalwarts – Aveeno, Nivea, Vaseline or Garnier are perfectly fine. I mean, how much do you want your body moisturiser to do? Smooth and hydrated is fine for me – I definitely don’t need contouring (doesn’t work), brightening (dubious) or firming (also doesn’t work) – but I can be swayed somewhat by a beautiful scent (Jo Loves Pomelo or Jo Malone London Orange Blossom) in a hand wash. Otherwise, my hundred pounds is not leaving my hand for a body product. My big caveat here is Aromatherapy Associates bath oils which I consider more or less medicine.
That’s why I’m a fan of Feather & Down – they smell lovely, do their assigned jobs well and their travel set costs £12. Their Sleep Spray is UK’s No.1 sleep spray (but I don’t really have any context for that claim – most liked? most purchased? most effective? No idea…) so I’m not alone in appreciating this affordable range.
The set includes a Melting Shower Cream, a small pot of Sleep Butter (whipped and light), Relaxing Roll-On for pulse points and the Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray with chamomile and lavender. It’s a very pleasant set to pop in your luggage for an Air B & B stay somewhere lovely. I know that many hotels are stopping providing individual beauty products such as shampoo, body lotion and teeny weeny soaps for all the right environmental reasons but gosh, I miss them. Stuffing your bag with miniature Clarins was a holiday highlight! Mr BBB used to travel a lot for work and I think we’ve still got tiny Hermes body washes loitering in the bathroom from his Paris times – back in the day, my dad used to come home with hundreds of Ma Griffe minis and we loved that hoard. You can find the sleep set HERE.
