Farewell to Primark Cosmetics and MLab Skin Care

I heard today that Primark are discontinuing their make up range, and also discovered that MLab has completely disappeared from Harrods. They are at opposing ends of the price point and yet neither of them worked in the UK. I’ve really no idea why either failed to be profitable enough to stay in store, but with the case of MLab it really was extraordinarily expensive (£26 for a tiny roll on and $175 for the full size anti-ageing spot control serum). That said, MLab’s Blemish Control Treatment was probably one of the most outstandingly effective products I’ve ever used. Tested (by me) on teens, it eradicated spots in literally a couple of days.

Primark Make Up

Primark, on the other hand, had prices starting at £2 and a really lovely looking, bright and eye catching range. The only reason (usually) that a brand pulls is because it isn’t making enough money. So if the really expensive brands can’t make it, and nor can a really cheap one, it does say something about our buying habits I think.

I liked the “Perfect Couple” blush from Primark but the others were a bit duff in my opinion, so no great loss with this news. xo

I recently had a humdinger of a spot come up in the middle of my cheek. By coincidence my wisdom teeth were playing up. I dabbed the spot with some original formula Corsodyl mouthwash to see if it would work on spots like it works on gums. It worked a treat.

  3. I never really used Primark cosmetics, so Im not too gutted about it if im honest 🙂

So that’s where the cosmetics line went from Primark. I quite liked the mascara with a ball shaped wand.

  6. how ironic the picture you chose to illustrate primark has got ‘tata for now’ right in the middle. it really is tata for now, for them. as much as i like cheaps as chips makeup, there is nothing which attracted me in primark makeup. I don’t remember reading a review which made me want to run and buy it. it’s 4.48am, and i am commenting on primark. what the hell is wrong with me…
