When I was in my teens, I always got one of these amazing sets for Christmas so whenever I see them now, they always evoke lovely memories. I’d sneak the box up to my bedroom and pick over each piece, smelling the lipsticks (and to this day I love the scent of an Estee Lauder lipstick) and swatching the colours. Estee Lauder comes up with a collection like this every Christmas – this year’s is pretty impressive. The deal is that you buy one EL fragrance, and then you can buy the make up set for £49. Thinking back, I don’t know who got the fragrance in Christmasses past – it certainly wasn’t me! Anyway, the colour set contains £312 worth of make up, so there’s just nothing not to like, apart from that it is sold out on line and the only place to get one now appears to be Harrods.

I remember buying an estee lauder perfume for my mum once and the make up lady gave me one of these make up kits for free!!! even better my mum then gave it to me! there was an amazing pink shimmering blush in there that i adored, i still havent managed find a good dupe for it about 10 years on!

Check the EL counters in Boots or House of Fraser. I think some of these still have the make up collection available. I know the Boots I work in (W’hampton) still has a few left.

Holy smokes, worth £312? I’m not a huge Estee Lauder fan, but with that bargain I may be convinced!

Thanks for the tip! I was already planning to get an Estee Lauder perfume set (the set of 3 tubes of Beautiful, Sensuous and Pleasures) for my mum for Christmas; so glad I could get this for myself. Went to Selfridges (Oxford Street) today and they still had loads of them.
So happy with it! I love the lipstick colours (well, 3 of the 4) and the eye shadows 🙂
