Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Foundation

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish

Traditionally, this is the time of year when new bases launch – Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude is easily one of the best new foundation launches. Like most foundations now, it’s got some power packed ingredients; soy lipids, wild mushroom extract and Vitamins A, C and E. The soy lipids are said to reduce the appearance of pores over time – I have never known that not to be a good thing!

So, in texture, it’s light; gorgeous in fact, and although it’s oil-free, doesn’t have the ‘drag’ that some oil-free formulas do. It’s ticking the box on luminosity as well, and also a big tick for evening out skin tone, while still allowing skin to look natural. I’ve swatched at strength in the picture above otherwise nothing shows up, and they’re using a wandy-thing (I am sure there is a technical term for that) which I think is old-school-in-a-good-way – you never need to get your fingers near the actual bottle rim. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Foundation has gone straight into my keep drawer – Elizabeth Arden is one of the few brands that make me feel properly glamorous when I use it.

It’s £28 which I think is more than reasonable for this quality and it’s on an exclusive at the moment with Debenhams HERE but going nationwide in next few weeks. NB!! Total blogger fail – instead of pulling the lid, it appears I twisted… and got the entire bottom end of the pump tube – it is a normal pump! Seriously, you wouldn’t think I’d had any experience whatsoever with foundation. However, I do remember ‘wandy’ foundation applicators and rather liked them – does anyone still do them? Thanks to the kind reader who pointed out the foundation faux pas.

  1. I have yet to try anything by this brand but this foundation looks very promising! I’m all for an even complexion that’s natural looking.

Forgot to say that you can get an exact skin match.. using a skin matching machine (see in the ad box). Clever!

  6. This sounds like a great foundation, I like that it is oil free as I get such an oily tzone & have to powder like a mad woman. I am all for the luminosity too, give me all the glow & none of the shimmer. I am adding this to my wish list (need list).

Sounds promising! I hope the shade selection is good. But as you mentioned a wand-applicator, on the pictures it looks like a normal pump to me…

It is a normal pump! The formulation and coverage are great and like all Elizabeth Arden foundations the skincare benefits are amazing! Our Beauty Consultants will use our Matchmaker to select the shade that’s right for you.

  11. This looks such a pretty colour, no nasty orange tones to worry about there! Also a great colour for the time of year. I’ve never tried Elizabeth Arden foundation so may give this a go!
