There’s some very glamorous packaging for Elizabeth Arden Autumn/Winter 2014 limited edition items – lots of white and gold in chunky, tactile palettes, but what I’m really impressed with are the glosses – with a mirror on the side. I really can’t remember if Arden always did this – I don’t think so – but either way, it’s a little piece of practicality that is executed seamlessly with the mirror almost perfectly flush to the casing.
I think these shades are rather adventurous for Elizabeth Arden: Glamorous Gold and Intriguing Violet are both packed with shimmer but are also quite sheer so they can be worn alone or over lipstick. Even though I’m not a shimmer fan, it really works in these glosses. They’re both limited edition (slightly vanilla scented) and will cost £17 each.
There are two limited edition eye palettes for Elizabeth Arden Autumn/Winter 2014 – Chic Browns and Posh Purples.
In swatching, I thought the Chic Browns came out with more impact, and Posh Purple stayed a little on the pale side for me personally. It’s quite an early launch, given that this encompasses winter too; Elizabeth Arden Autumn/Winter 2014 hits the shelves tomorrow (11th August).
