e.l.f. Duochrome in Extra-terrestrial Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, this is exciting! e.l.f. Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadow in Extra-terrestrial is next level shiny with green, gold and purple completely visible at once. It’s not dissimilar to the new Chanel colour, Phenomene, for the autumn/winter collection which is for nails.

The shade-shifting is very obvious when its on your lid – and unlike earlier model counterparts, this formula doesn’t sting the skin which is a big deal if you have sensitive lids. I love the way that it looks so metallic – literally gleaming – and impactful.

When I applied Extra-terrestrial, I didn’t use the doe’s foot wand to apply, I used an eye brush and that’s really the best way to approach a formula like this one. I am not one for taking colour above my lid any more – gosh, how complicated all that was – so it needs to be very neatly applied. Doe’s foot applicators can be great at hugging the lid but not so great at precision. You’re aiming for a clean lid line so there is no blur from the lid heading upward.

These pictures aren’t the best – I had to screen grab from my Instagram reel because I forgot to take them after I’d put the shadow on. I am eyerolling myself, don’t worry. Allow e.l.f. Duochrome drying time – it won’t wander but just be sure you don’t accidentally touch to the colour for at least five minutes. This shade really tricks the eyes (of others) by making yours utterly mesmerising. It’s £8 very well spent, in my view, and even if you never wear it outside of the house, enjoy looking in the mirror and taking selfies with this one because it’s epic. Find it HERE.
