[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you like the scent of almonds, this is going to be absolute body bliss – it’s generously scented with creamy almonds and sweet coffee. There are no added fragrances.
The exfoliating element is sugar in enough of a grain to give a good polish effect but not so much that it’s sore (looking at you Fresh Sugar Scrub!). The suspension contains coffee seed oil, marula oil, sunflower oil and coconut oil so it’s rich on the skin.
It’s best applied on damp skin – by that I mean you can literally just run your bath, wet your hands and apply the scrub that way, adding a bit more water if you need it. Or, the same before you jump in the shower. It doesn’t need much moisture at all because the oils act as a lubricant – I always apply over a bath mat that I can just shake clean into the bath as the water drains away because there is always a little ‘fall’. All the fragrancing occurs while you’re actively using the scrub (I must admit, it made me think of Battenberg cake!) and then fades off after rinsing, leaving much softer skin but no lingering scent. Sugared Koffie Almond Milk Scrub by Drunk Elephant is proper me-time stuff – not prohibitively expensive at £24 but with plenty of luxury pampering credentials. You can find it HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
