See, it’s simple. This is what makes me happy! Dolce & Gabbana has undergone a little (and needed) refresh in the nail department, and the new shades are stunning. I suppose you would say it’s a rearrangement of the line, because of the (now) 41 shades, 31 are pre-existing, but the collection is arranged into colour families, with eight of the shades being colour matches for Dolce & Gabbana Cream Lipsticks. Is it okay to be matchy-matchy now?
In the first picture, new shade is Baroque Silver (centre) – the first colour, Stromboli, is existing as is the last, Desert.
In the red family, the central shade, Scarlett, is new.
My favourite colour family! Of this selection the last two, Innocence and Bella are new; the first shade is Pure Nude and exists within the range.
In the final selection, the first shade, Amethyst, is new, while Drama and Wild Green are existing.
The polish packaging has undergone a spring clean, too – gone are the long skinny bottles long unweildy wands, and here are the plumper, more solid looking versions. It’s not often that a repackage or a few new shades catch my attention, but I think the Dolce & Gabbana New Nails look far more glamorous in their updated guise. Plus, I like a brand that doesn’t rest on its laurels and is always looking to improve.
I’ll get the new shades swatched up on a nail wheel tomorrow, but for now the lacquers are launching tomorrow – Wednesday – into Harrods.
