Diptyque Fleur de Peau Hand & Body Gel Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] The sensible side of me wants to say there’s no need to splash out on very posh hand washes but I’m listening to a Radio 4 programme about little luxuries that people aren’t willing to give up (so far, midlife ballet lessons, books, eyeliners and Ubers) and I think that posh hand wash might well be one of mine, if push comes to shove.

Diptyque Fleur de Peau Hand & Body Gel

If you don’t know Fleur de Peau, it’s one of the gentlest scents that Diptyque have created and yet it’s so impactful on the olfactory senses. It’s described as cottony and downy with accents of iris and ambrette and really, it taps into the clean skin, fresh laundry receptors that in themselves are everyday but oh, so comforting and grounding. It’s only just available in the Hand & Body Gel formula.

Diptyque Fleur de Peau Hand & Body Gel Review

I think I’m too mean to lavish Diptyque Fleur de Peau Hand & Body Gel on my body in the bath or shower – it’s staying firmly at the sink for foamy hand washing. Not only will that eke it out for longer but it offers more opportunities to smell it each day because you wash your hands several times and (usually) shower only once. I’d say that this gel formula wash offers those precious moments of stillness – a quietening – that reset your thoughts by distracting a busy brain with a waft of easement. Diptyque Fleur de Peau Hand & Body Gel is £43 HERE.

Not one of their scents I know but you make it sound irresistible Jane! I so agree about occasionally buying (and using) the good stuff. It is a mood lifter.
