Diptique Resine Scented Candle

Diptique Resin Candle

It’s 100% love at first sniff with the Diptique Resine Candle. It’s all the things that winter should smell of – pine, embers and wood; a proper, curled-up by the fire, comfort fragrance that outstrips Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus by a mile in terms of sophistication.

Design-wise, it’s a beauty – personally, I’m a little bit over plain white candles. I don’t think it’s a stretch to ask for something decorative as well. Plain glass just doesn’t explain anything about the concept or the fragrance – the design on the Diptique Resine Candle is a wonderful representation of the fragrance.

Speaking of design, Diptique looked to an artist collective called Qubo Gas to bring their winter 2014 collection to life with abstract landscapes. There are two other fragrances in the collection called Winter and Spice but I haven’t experienced either of those yet.

The Diptique Resine Candle is £45 (I’m linking to SpaceNK where there is a free postage offer) HERE.

Love Diptyque but a bit sick and tired of paying 40+ quid for a candle. I think this year I will try Space NK’s own brand candle. Any suggestions for other brands? I noticed that even Neom, that used to be slightly cheaper but still greater quality has increased its prices. It must be definitely the end if the credit crunch…..

I know – it is great feat of marketing that we’re all prepared to lay down the best part of £50 for something that burns away in front of our very eyes. Take a look at the Durance range; not quite as frighteningly priced.

      1. I’ve bought a few Diptyque over the years and their prices just keep increasing! It was like burning cash (pun intended) and takes away the comfort and ease just by knowing it, lol!

I love the Epice one, but decided to go for the 5 small candles box set from Diptyque. It was better value. I usually wait for SpaceNK’s sale to buy candles.

  4. Some of my farts are more sophisticated than most of the stuff JML pumps out these days
