A handbag made of lipsticks? Count me in!
I’m just going to run through the services at the Dior Beauty Store – if you are a Dior fan, then it’s a destination, but of all the services, I like the look of the Dior Make Up Party hosted by Jamie Coombes, Dior’s International Pro Team Make-up artist and all round delightful person, where you and your friends can chill out at a make-up masterclass to learn tricks of the trade. I’m thinking amazing pre-drinks birthday party although you can order up champagne in-store if you want to. The store manager is Chris Miller and again, one of the most friendly people you could meet so don’t ever think that it’s too highbrow – it isn’t; everyone is welcomed.

What you can’t help noticing when you walk in is how glossy everything is – there’s a lot of black and silver and plenty of beautifully displayed make-up like the boards above, as well as the big bottle of fragrance made up of small bottles like Dior Duplo!

From nail art to pre-party make-up services (with a few ultra-luxy things as well such as fragrance bottle engraving and the Dior Concierge who will arrange a chauffeur to collect you) I’m loving these new concept luxury beauty stores. And, what I particularly like is that the services are time conscious – if you only have ten minutes to spare, then there will still be something for you such as a flash Lip Wardrobe. If you skip back a few years, stores like this just weren’t even considered because beauty was always viewed as the poor relation to fashion – a kind of afterthought – so that this even exists is testament to the rise of beauty as a leading industry.

Above is a selection of nail art looks that you can have done – all taken from Dior fashion references, of course. Prices? Well, maybe not as premium as you might think – it’s £25 to have your nails done (16th/17th November) and it’s redeemable against purchase (almost everything is) and the Flower Art, where a bespoke bouquet is made up to reference your favourite Dior fragrance is a gift with purchase (23rd & 24th November). These kind of services will vary throughout the year.
You will need to book! You can do so on 020 7563 6343.
