Dafni Hot Brush UK

Meet the brush that not only brushes your hair but straightens it at the same time. I find it hard to get excited over hair tools but this does actually raise my heartbeat a little! Although it’s not coming to the UK until spring 2016 (QVC will be selling it – I ‘think’ it might have a special one day event in January but can confirm nearer the time) it will be the first time it’s been available over here.

I have used the Dafni Hot Brush – only the once – and sure enough, instantly straighter hair with a good shine (I was lucky to get my hands on it as there is literally only one of these in the UK right now). I will say that in testing it, my hair had already been straightened earlier that morning (by me) but thanks to London wet air, had started to frizz up considerably. Bascially the hot brush has a ceramic plate beneath the bristles so you catch your hair with the bristles as you would any normal brush, but the hotplate gives it a straightening effect with heat. It’s different to ceramic straighteners in that it doesn’t grip the hair as such, so if you find you get kinks or ridges with regular straighteners, you won’t find that happening with the Dafni Hot Brush. I didn’t see it used on intense curls, and I want to test it over a period of time just to see for myself how well it really performs, but all things point in the right direction.

I’ll flag up, of course, when it launches on QVC and if the rumoured January pre-sale date shows up. I have no idea of the price but I’m guessing not cheap – £100+.

I liked that when you showed it on your Periscope feed. Somehow looks like it would be gentler on the hair.

I had seen something like this being advertised a lot on social media recently and was interested on if it actually worked or just a gimmick, interested in it being released in the uk

Sounds like it might be the perfect thing to sort out my fringe in the morning.
