Clinique & Crayola

Clinique Crayola

Well, this was always going to happen! A better match up I cannot think of than the lip crayon that looks like a real crayon, and comparisons have been drawn between the two since Chubby Sticks first existed.

So, the first two that you see in the picture above are the most pigmented – Red Violet and Brick Red. After that, shades are very sheer, juicy washes of colour, but they are colour matched to actual Crayola crayons.

I have 8 of the 10 limited editions here – the first two, Red Violet and Brick Red are the ‘intense’ shade, while the rest are very sheer as you can see. All Chubbies have a good dose of shea and mango butters in them so they’re always juicy and comfortable in the wear, so these are no different although expect to have to reapply regularly. So, after Brick Red comes Wild Strawberry, Pink Sherbet, Mango Tango, Mauvelous, Melon and Fuzzy Wuzzy.

I love these for being a very welcome splash of fun and colour to start the beauty new year. They launch in Selfridges on 6th January and everywhere else from the beginning of February.

  1. These are so cute! I prefer more matte lipsticks but have always love the chubby sticks x

  2. The box is REALLY cute but it would have been fun if the colours were a little more crayola-like! But I guess it wouldn’t be very practical. Makes me think of those mary quant crayons!

  3. I really like the look of these to be honest as they look so cute BUT they aren’t very pigmented sadly… Plus I know that Clinique are all about being fragrance free but I find the scent of these is horrible… Very chemical smelling etc so I’ll probably give these a miss…
