Clinique CC Cream Compact

I love the pristine packaging of the Clinique CC Cream Compact and all the perfect swirliness although don’t you hate it when the white sponge gets make-up on it?! I don’t know why brands don’t make the sponges the same colour as the foundation then it wouldn’t be quite so hard on the eye.

The Clinique CC Cream Compact comes in two shades initially – and with an SPF of 30. I’m interested to see how this compares to the fluid Clinique CC cream which is brilliant at evening out skin tone although personally, I don’t think it is particularly well suited to dryer skin types.

It’s launching on counters on the 25th April (on-line now) and it’s certainly worth thinking about if you are a Clinique CC fan for holidays because this won’t use up any of your liquid allowance if you’re travelling light. I’ll update when I have more news, but in the meantime, what’s your general view of compact foundation? Messy or magical?

I’m with you on the sponge, they really should make them beige or something, I’m not a huge fan of compacts and having to use the same sponge it can cause a huge germ overload!

  2. Yeah I don’t get the white sponges most are a bit naff too I’d prefer no sponge! I’m interested in this I found the liquid CC to be a little bit of a disappointment though the colour transfer was so bad I only had to brush past someone and I’d left foundation marks! x

I use the L’oreal CC one and have loved it. I bought some spare sponges from Superdrug and just replace it as I don’t feel that washing them gets them clean enough.
