I think you’re either an Aromatics fan or you aren’t ..there doesn’t seem to be any middle ground. Personally, I don’t love it, but the new version, Clinique Aromatics In White is one that I think fans of the fragrance will love for its twist on tradition. Think woody notes and petals with an amber backdrop – more feminine that previous incarnations, I think.
So, for people like me who don’t quite get the Aromatics thing, to accompany the fragrance, there’s a Clinique Aromatics In White Colour Collection, exclusive to House of Fraser stores.
Aromatics In White MakeupWell worth checking out is the gloss in Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Crystalized; a gorgeous, clean and frosty gloss with a creamy colour base (rather than white) that gives a swish of lightfulness to the lips. I love it – it’s so pretty on its own or over a colour for a fresh spring lip. The shimmer is super-fine – no chunks in there – so it’s more of a glitter glance than high beam until the light catches it and then it’s a myriad of twinkles. Incidentally, Clinique claim an 8 hour last on this gloss formula which might indeed be the case if you don’t eat or speak – or drink. Half the joy of a gloss is the reapplication; personally, I don’t care about the last of a gloss as long as it doesn’t disappear the second I put it on.
Aromatics In White MakeupThere is also the All About Shadow 6-Pan Palette (£30 – but I’m going to double check that as it seems very expensive for such a little palette) as part of the Aromatics In White.
I’m instantly a fan because it’s all my colours, but I can see it’s maybe not for everyone, particularly not if you’ve bought into the nude palette trend recently. I also think it’s quite pricy for such a diddy little thing. Nonetheless, it’s got all the usual Clinique quality of gliding shadows in easy to wear shades, and I like the concept of a fragrance having colour partners.
These launch on 23rd January, although the fragrance is out already.
