Everything about Darphin’s new Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood is ultra, ultra luxurious. It’s an unfamiliar consistency that must have brought about some creativity challenges back at the lab, being somewhere between a traditional balm and honey…it literally the smoothest balm I’ve ever come across. Add water, and it turns to a milky emulsion. It is formulated with a host of skin-loving essential oils and is the perfect consistency to massage into skin; it crosses a line from being a regular cleanser because you do end up enjoying the feeling of it on your skin so much you cannot help but massage – and that’s great for complexions! It smells gorgeously expensive – that’s probably because it is (embarrassingly, I can’t remember exactly how much but think from memory its nearly £50). Although I don’t like wash-off cleansers normally, this one is exceptional.

I am desperate to try this. I LOVE cleansing balms. Saaf’s Cleansing Balm and The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter are the best, I’ve found, particularly the latter as it melts right onto your face. The Darphin one sounds a bit like this.
Also, if you haven’t tried it yet, the Darphin 8-Flower Nectar is, hands down, one of the best facial oils I have ever used… I massage it into my face, neck and chest as often as I can remember to, and my skin always looks and feels better for it (no oily residue and the smell is gorgeous… jasmine-y, not unlike the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial).
Right, that’s a ramble…

I bought this Darphin cleansing balm at the weekend and it’s fabulous. It costs quite a bit, Around £53, but you don’t need toner. It snells beautiful and melts right into your skin. It also removes make-up in one go, just massage in and remove with water. Bliss…
Darphin Chamomile facial oil is great if you have sensitive skin. It sinks right in with no oily residue and the smell alone makes you want to bathe in it. Works wonders on your skin. -
Got this, it smells GREAT but it has caused a bad reaction to my freind, who has tried it out as she visited me. I am okay with it, I need a tiny amount only. Still, the price tag is silly.
