Clarins Spring 2013: Rouge Eclat

Usually I would say the palettes are the most exciting part of a new collection but in this instance I’m very swayed by the new selection of lipsticks coming from Clarins for Spring 2013. Not only do they have a blackberry and liquorice scent and flavour (which is quite daring, I think) but the Rouge Eclat collection has anti-ageing, collagen boosting ingredients as well as mimosa, jojoba and sunflower waxes. It comes in fifteen shades and the lipsticks cost £18.50 each.

The Limited Edition Eye Quartet Mineral Palette Violette above is embossed with an iris flower and give me that violet shade right now!! It will cost £30.

The Limited Edition Face & Blush Powder, £30, isn’t as strong visually this year as previous years I don’t think but none the less, gives skin a radiance veil and if you focus on the pink and coral stream, doubles as a good neutral blush.

Possibly my absolute favourite thing is this Gloss Prodige in Water Lily, £15.50 (below) and is the gloss that anyone can wear because of its univerally flattering shade (there is a more pinky version as well. It’s also got the blackberry/liquorice flavour and scent. I’ll get the lipsticks swatched as soon as I can. You’ll see this range from January.

  2. They are all so pretty, I love the Clarins packaging. But oh my goodness, wow.. the lipstick just looks .. wow! Is that just amazing photography or.. it looks so creamy! The scents sound interesting, smells that I like but I think will definitely appeal to people like my granny as well 🙂

  3. I love this collection! I especially love the lipgloss, it looks such a pretty colour.
