[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you’re fond of a Jolly Rancher sweetie, then you will certainly like the new Ciate Watermelon Burst Hydrating Lip Oil. I like lip oils for their brief, but highly impressive, moment on the lips.
Ciate has managed to perfectly recreate the flavour and scent of a watermelon Jolly Rancher – on the one hand this is not great for your lips because it’s super sweet and you will naturally just keep licking. The temptation is the same as not licking sugar off your lips after a doughnut. Licking will make your lips dehydrated so if you can’t resists doing that, it’s not for you. There is a balm element to this oil – it’s comfortable in the wear and is more or less clear in colour with a super high shine – I like it and don’t like it at the same time :-). It’s £14 HERE.
The Watermelon Burst Setting Spray is a blend of watermelon extract and niacinamide (amongst other things) and I find it quite gentle on my skin with just the merest hint of fragrance. You can use this before, during or after make up for a quick refresh although the claim of hydration is counter-intuitive. I’m not sure there is any meaningful hydration to be had from this but for a summer themed quick spritz from the fridge, it’s rather delicious and does give you a momentary ‘dew’ that’s perfect for a quick Instagram snap. It’s £18 HERE.
