Christmas In July Part 4

And this is the final Christmas in July post of the week, although we have more events next week. I headed off The Body Shopwhich was all candy canes and cupcakes – gorgeous. They’ve got some lovely sets, and even though I’m not massively a fan of The Body Shop fragrances, their make up quads were really impressive. Someone at the event was wearing the black shade and it looked sensational – more a graphite than black, but gently shimmery and matt at the same time.

There were also some very cute lip balm sets – ideal for stocking fillers or girly-gifts.

I had a couple of meetings inbetween – handily including lunch since I’d forgotten my purse and only just managed to make my train fare with change from the bottom of my handbag and a coat pocket – and then landed at Jo Malone where a few changes have taken place. Under new art direction, they’ve stopped being so perfect and have some amazing imagery, as well as new scents, including Roasted Chestnut (wasn’t very taken with it I must admit, but then I’m not good with foodie smells unless it is coconut!). They’ve also added red into the packaging shades, which doesn’t sound too adventurous, but this is a brand that hasn’t changed its image for years and years, so it’s quite a step. I’m including just a few pics because there is plenty of time between now and December to look at things more closely.

Oh yes I did…

  3. Jess

I want a Jo Malone Christmas cracker! Such a classy brand – love it

  4. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with Body Shop. Sometimes I find really nice things there, and sometimes their stores just bore me. But lately, I have been pleasantly surprised when going there 🙂
