Charlotte Stockdale for Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Stocking

Okay, I’m just going to say it out loud. Does Jo Malone really need a Style Editor if this is the result? It’s a black stocking with white writing that says “Jingle All The Way”. To be honest, it’s the kind of thing that makes real people wonder where they can get a job as a style editor…and then have a little chuckle all the way to the bank. It’s not stylish, it’s super-dull, ultra-unimaginative and not even a very nice shape. According to the site, it is “designed to please”. Oh, RILLY?

I think the kindest thing to say about it, that no doubt will turn up in editorial, is “pared-back”. The good thing about it, however, is that it comes filled with a Lime, Basil and Mandarin Bath Oil and a Body & Handwash in the same fragrance. But it will set you back £95. The goods with out the er, *stylish* stocking are £30 (together not each). I am getting me a job as a style editor. Get out of my way….
