[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ve had much merriment from the Netflix Christmas Movie, Hot Frosty. I haven’t even seen it but the name just sends me into peals of laughter every time I think of it. How I would have LOVED to be on the creative team for naming that one. Apparently, it’s about a snowman who comes to life, somewhat handsomely, and falls in love. If you’ve wondered what to buy your own Hot Frosty (sorry, I’m laughing all over again), I’ll put forward CHANEL Allure Homme Sport in its latest iteration, Superleggera. I’ve had to do my Googling for the translation which is ‘super light’ and references a specific, innovative construction technique used by the luxury car industry – for example, there’s a carbon fibre Aston Martin Superleggera.
CHANEL fragrances for men are just delish across the board because they all carry a similar scent thread – who doesn’t want to lay their head on the shoulder of a man wearing fresh, woody and amber notes. It’s that awesome alchemy when those notes are mixed with skin scent that turn (temporarily, probably) the heat right up.
I like the clean-ness of CHANEL Allure Homme Sport Superleggera – it’s straightaway fresh and zingy with a distinct grapefruit accent that’s kind of cologne-y and bright. The dry down heads straight towards the resinous woods followed by all the powdery sensuality of amber which is deep and warm. CHANEL has made a good olfactory reference here – the duality between power and lightness – I’ll hesitate to agree with ‘allure in motion’ because with all the good will in the world we cannot make a silk purse etc, etc, but I’d definitely like to be in proximity to the wearer of this, in alluring motion or not. The packaging is classic and impressive – it’s unlikely to appear in any sales as it’s so new and in limited distribution , so I’m linking you HERE.
