I’ve been googling away for a definitive answer to what exactly a Micellar water is – it appears it is an oil in water formula. So, Caudalie Cleansing Water falls into the Micellar category, as does another favourite of mine, Bioderma. I’m truly impressed with Caudalie’s Cleansing Water – at £12 it comes in at a favourable price for a luxury brand cleanser, not too far away from Bioderma which is considered a pharmacy brand. With a consistency of water, it’s really easy to use – no washing off required, just a swipe with cotton wool. What I love about it is that it feels so soft – much softer than normal water, and although I haven’t yet tested it on heavy make up (I’m still on a light, post-holiday regime while I still have a tiny bit of tan left), it certainly is doing a great cleansing job with light make up. Containing extracts of grape, plant glycerine, alpha bisabolol (camomile extracts), mint, caraway and galbanum, there is a very light scent that is fresh and pleasant – and it feels so gentle on the skin. I really like this one.

It’s really difficult to explain what a micelle is but I know what it looks like as I’ve seen the droplets under magnification. Not that that is any use to anyone!
This sounds lovely, I often considered getting the Bioderma version. Will have to give it a try sometime.

I really love this cleansing water too. I’ve been looking for one that is more budget friendly but nothing has compared to the Caudalie. So glad it’s getting a good review and exposure. It’s a great product.
