In existance since 1863, the famous Little Round Pots of baked shadow have undergone a make over adding in mineral pigments and brighteners to make the colours pop. Split into groups, Illuminating Shades, Sculpting Shades, Daring Shades and Glittery Shades, the colours are all intensified. These pots have been a staple in my make up bag for years (and, no, not since 1863 thank you) – I’ve had a play with the new ‘improved’ versions and they are beautifully soft on application and definitely more intense. There are eight new colours added to the mix, too. They’ll be in stores from the end of the month.

Oh yey to the increased intensity – it’s always really irritated me that the LRP look so vibrant in the pots bit never quite have the same punchyness in their colour payoff. 🙂

Oh… I’m a little disappointed. I was hoping the packaging had had the makeover – my lids always fall off! Plus I can’t depot it so I can put it in my palette… I’ll still check it out though, I love intense colour eyeshadows!

I’ll look forward to looking at the new formula. I’ve had quite a few of these over the years. I’d be very happy if they gave the blushers the same treatment. Again, I have a few and at least and sometimes it’s impossible to pick up any colour from the pan.
