Boots No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation

Well, this came with some very grand claims – perfect skin all day, touch proof, transfer proof – basically, life proof. But, occasionally I get products that I just don’t get and this is one of them. It’s certainly very light – more a perfecter than a foundation and hardly shows on at all; and it didn’t seem to be all that perfecting either. There was pretty much no difference in my skin before and after, in which case, I have to wonder what the point is.

The texture is a light fluid and it is pretty much weightless – but unless you are looking for the lightest possible coverage that doesn’t really impact at all.. and I’m not sure who would be.. then I’m just a bit stumped by this. It’s not a bad product, but I don’t really see it making a splash in foundation terms (watch it become a best-seller now!). It’s available from 22nd January for £14.50.

I definitely like something with much more coverage, so won’t be going for something so light.

I really appreciate reviews like this.

    Humble but honest 🙂

I got this for review too and I really like it, which surprised me. I’m not usually a fan of the No 7 foundations. Perhaps its my skin, but it gives me better coverage than a sheer to light foundation, but without it texture and look I dislike in the formulations designed to be more full on. I would say if your a fan of light coverage, but looking for that little bit more, give it a try. If you prefer proper full coverage though, give it a miss.

It reminds me of No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation which is practically the same when it comes to real life (maybe regarding the ridiculous claims too 🙂 At least this one has SPF 15 while ICF has only 6 (!?)

Yes I got this and love it too! It is light and gives me good coverage, which if you consider my skin issues at the moment is quite special.I’m really impressed!

I’m going to have to try this again.. I seem to be the only one that doesn’t like it!

It does look a bit watery and cheap TBH – and at £14.50 it is not cheap. We girls know what we want from a foundation, and I don’t think this is it. Maybe more like a BB cream. I am sceptical of a product that makes such grand claims, especially as I have found some new foundations this year which I adore, and don’t think I will be actively looking for another unless it transforms me into Kate Moss.

This is fab if you like a lighter coverage foundation! Like a tinted moisturiser but matches your skin colour far better
