[purchase] If you don’t know Australian comedian, Celeste Barber, I can tell you that her Instagram account is one of my favourites. She has observational comedy down to a tee and one of her favourite themes is copying model poses (and failing at them but winning at the funny). She has 9.6 million followers so it’s not just me that adores her – she’s very down to earth, very talented and most of all, very relatable. You’ll like her, I promise!
Celebrity beauty brands are ten a penny and often bear no relation to the actual person but Booie, Celeste’s new venture, is 100% reflective of the creator. Easy wins, no fuss and minimum effort. I ordered the Bam! Bam! Bam! Lip, Cheek & Eye Tint and it’s £12 – a very relatable and attainable price even if you’re on a no-buy. There are only five products so far – Bring Back The Bush Brow Tint and Hold, Bloody Delicious Tinted Illuminator, You’re Welcome Tubing Mascara and Where The Hell Is My…? Lip Tint that sit along side Bam! I am not a fan of multi-use products on the grounds that they just don’t do a proper job anywhere because there are too many formula compromises, so a lip, cheek and eye tint felt like the best product to test.
I bought the shade Red Wine which I am not sure was the best one for me, but miraculously, this product works across all the stated areas perfectly well. The one thing I’d have to flag up is that you need very, very little of the product, particularly across your cheeks. Despite the fact that you can blend it with your fingers for ease and simplicity, in hindsight, I’d use a brush for that. I love it on my lids in particular – Red Wine isn’t a shade that you’d naturally allow on the lids but it’s very energising and eye opening.
Booie Beauty Bam! Bam! Bam! feels like £12 very well spent. I really like it, I like the concept and I like that it’s a beauty leveller – it’s not out of reach money wise or ability wise for most of us and that is a big win. You can find Booie Beauty HERE.
