I had no idea how difficult it is to wrestle a pepper into hair extensions with only some sellotape as a friend. If I’d known, I’d never have started The Pepperettes who are modeling The Body Shop’s new limited Hair Chalks.

I’ve used both shades in a kind of pale, ashy way on The Pepperettes – and trialled both shades on blonde hair (I won’t tell you what happened to the dark hair strands I was sent), but they will go to a stronger strength on darker locks. It’s wash out so no harm done if you don’t really like it – and they’re very nicely priced at £5 each. Coloured hair is still a strong trend – I like it when it looks a little faded rather than super-bright and chalks do that look really well with zero on-going commitment. I’m not sure how well-lasting they are – if you’ve tried them, please do let me know.
You do need to add hairspray to seal the chalks and stop them coming out of your hair quickly.

Love The Pepperettes hehe, such a cute idea! I like the looks of the hair chalks but I just don’t know how I’d do it in my hair, it’s really thick, long and dark brown! At £5 they might be worth a try though!

I’m dying to try these for festivals this summer!!! I was after hair chalks last summer but it didn’t end up happening. I’ll definitely be purchasing these for this summer though!
Totally agree, great look for a summer festivals!
Hehe love the Pepperettes!! Just out of interest the pricing on this and the new vit e serum in oil are outrageous in €. The hair chalks are £5 and are €11.95
The vit e serum in oil is £12 and is €22! That doesn’t even come close to the conversions! The current exchange rate would make them €6.04 and €14.49
respectively – huge mark up in my opinion!
I love The Pepperettes! Such s brilliant and innovative idea. With all the hair chalk craze, why not just use normal coloured chalk? surely that would give a similar affect instead of buying a specially designed prodcut? Or are these meant to be “kinder” to the hair?
The pepperettes are adorable! The hair suits them very well haha.
Haha awww, I love this chalks! I had mine pink and blue once and loved it 🙂

Your pepperettes are sure to be the next big thing in the fashion world. They’re adorable. I’m kind of curious about these, but since my hair is pretty much black, I’m not sure that I could get them intense enough. Great summery look for blondes/ redheads/ lighter brunettes, though.
You need to start an exhibition of your veggie and fruit beauties!
