I’ve been a little (a lot actually) disappointed with the last couple of Bobbi Brown releases – I think the formula has changed.. there is just something about it that I think is different. But, the next launch, Bobbi Brown Sheer Bright Shadows I think will have something for everyone. My beauty heart was stolen straight away by Peach Cloud, below – a wash of pale, but warm, peach.
The reason I say I think there is something for everyone is that there are some intense shades in there along with the very subtle colours. As an every day base colour, Bubble Metallic is gorgeous.. a creamy colour shot through with iridescence that just ‘lifts’ your eye area. So, while they’re light, most of the shades do seem to be quite brightening.
So, top row: Sweet Pink Shimmer, Aegean Blue Metallic, Bubbly Metallic. Middle Row: Cornflower, Pistachio, French Blue Shimmer Wash. Bottom is Peach Cloud. There’s a mix of matte, metallic and shimmer – the metallics are winning every single time for me.
There will be fifteen Bobbi Brown Sheer Bright Shadow singles heading to BB counters from September. They’re expensive at £17.50 each, but a little goes a long way, and I’d definitely recommend either the shimmer or metallic – the plain shadows are SO light that unless you are a nuance fan, their effects are minimal – you can see the texture differences (and power) with the weakest swatch being Cornflower.
