Bobbi Brown Parisian Red Lipstick

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you like a seamless red lip, Bobbi Brown’s Parisian Red is all the good things rolled into one. It’s creamy, sheeny, easy to apply and so brightening for the face.

Bobbi Brown Parisian Red Lipstick

It’s sold out on the Bobbi Brown website which isn’t really a surprise because it’s so much of a suit-all but I’ve located it to Sephora (where it turns out to be £2 cheaper anyway and free delivery). I think I have an uneasy relationship with highly pigmented reds – I’m happy in sheer reds all day long but a power red somehow takes all my mettle to wear confidently. Easy in my kitchen, not so easy anywhere else. But, there’s a red for everyone, I’m convinced of it – all it takes is a little reframing of the notion of red lipstick. The easiest red I ever wear is Glossier’s Lip Gloss in Red HERE for £15. It’s just a sheer wash of red – enough that it’s there, not so much that it overtakes the face. It’s one of my all time favourite reds.

The last posting date for Sephora shopping is the 19th (today) to be sure of having it in time for Christmas but if you’re in no rush you can take your time. The good thing about Parisian is that it’s a one swipe pigment level – by all means ramp up with extra but all the colour you need goes on in one. I did a bit of tidying up around my cupid’s bow with a lip brush but apart from that, I was pleased with how the colour laid down. Big recommend from me.

First Bobbi brown I’ve been tempted by in a while. Love that you are posting more photos of yourself wearing the products in addition to the swatches. You always look great and so helpful to see a lipstick on a real person.

Thanks Justine – yes I think it’s more helpful than arm swatches so I’m making an effort to do it more – thanks for noticing 🙂

Usually I take lipstick names with a grain of salt, but the shade really gives an air of French flair.

      It does, doesn’t it!
