[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] A blog friend of mine, @Makeup_Museum, was saying exactly what I’m (often) thinking about this year’s Christmas make up offerings in general – namely, that not so much effort has gone in to making it truly special. However, I can mark Bobbi Brown as one of the exceptions this year – it’s really quite beautiful with as much opulence as the season needs. It’s Cyber Monday today so I’m shoe-horning this post in so you can take advantage of 25% off almost everything today (27th November).

Honestly, my absolute pick is this double mascara with a remover – it’s got a £69 value, £48.50 price tag but is reduced to £33.95. Just the sheer practicality of this is an absolute win – two shots of Smokey Eye Mascaras (one for handbag, one for home?) and a mini remover that will make light work of all your eye make up even if you are smoked up to the nines – I love it. It’s HERE. I should add that you get a free full size product if you spend over £55 so the brand could not be making things more appealing.

More glamorously, the make up comes housed in this beautiful, shiny and tactile packaging – it honestly gave me the party feels! I’ve worn the small eye duo already because I just couldn’t resist dipping my brush in.

This beauty – the Golden Glow Luxe Cheek & Highlight Palette, £48, has sold out on the Bobbi Brown site but luckily John Lewis has stock and they’re also participating in the Cyber Monday 25% off (it’s full price at Sephora) so that brings it to £36 HERE. I think my picture has made this look darker than it actually is so please do look at the swatches.

The Luxe Eye Shadow Duo in Dancefloor Glam featuring Centre Stage (gold) and Smooth Groove is a mix of matte and shimmer. They’re not as intense, once on, as you might imagine and make a very wearable pair. I like a plum lid – it’s vampy without being too dramatic and you can take a light wash of gold over the top. There are two other colourway options, and they’re all currently £31.50 instead of £42 HERE.

In the swatch above, from bottom to top is the eye duo: Centre Stage and Smooth Groove, followed by the shades in order from the blush and highlight palette. I thought perhaps it was a more pared down collection this year but going through the website, there are lots and lots of options, including the 12 Days of Glow calendar with a value of £264 and is temporarily (I assume) at £156 HERE. I think next year will see even more 12 day options from other brands because I’m seeing brands who have never done them before embracing the trend.
