Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Give me a lip balm to test and you bet I’m going to test the life out of it. I love lip balms over and above any other beauty product and several years ago, when Biossance entered the UK (2020-ish), I was given a balm. At that time, it came in a little pot and was called Squalane + Rose Lip Protector. It was beautiful – I loved it. Sometime later, the pot was replaced with a tube (which I still have) and now, fast forward to 2025, the original balm is gone, replaced by Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector. The original is still in stock at SpaceNK as part of a Rose Duo, £19 HERE, but that will be the very last of the original.

I’ve compared the ingredient lists and they’re very different although retain the common bond of caster oil and squalane. The new version is better in terms of skin care (an addition of hyaluronic acid for example) but a bit less glossy (I love glossy) although I’m more than happy that there are now tinted versions – one of which I wore all weekend. The shades are Supernova, H2Glow (clear) and Blush Quartz which is the one I like best.

As you can see, the nib makes application easy – as with any lip balm, you need to factor in reapplication because the melty formulas are not made for last. I did pretty well with Rose Quartz with only two top ups during Saturday afternoon. There’s supposed to be a visible plump element from the peptides but that is something that even the most plumping of plumpers never seems to work on me but I really liked the protective element combined with the colour and of course, the sheen.

Supernova is on the left and Rose Quartz is on the right. They both have enough colour to tint the lips nicely but not so much that if you apply without a mirror, people will stare :-). They’re £15 each and a good buy for dry lips when you want to leave the lipstick at home. You can find Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector HERE.
