[unpaid/affiliate] Since I’m a regular shopper at Victoria Health, I thought I’d flag up the VH Addict Membership which is such good value because you get a lot for it. I don’t buy a lot of beauty products for obvious reasons but you could easily describe me as a supplement addict. I’ve ditched my Symprove subscription and opted instead for VH Mega Probio, VH Turmeric Curcumin C3 Complex and Dose Digestive Enzyme Complex. But, that’s not all! I take Advanced Nutrition Skin Omegas which I alternate with Pureclinica Triple Strength Hyaluronic Acid. As I say – I love a supplement! Every now and again, I decide I don’t need any supplements at all but somehow get lured back because they pretty much all sound so inviting.
So, let’s go through the details. The cost to be a VH Addict is £30 per year and that gives you 10% off everything (there are three exceptions – Temple Spa, Dirtea and PerfecTed) and if you’re an international shopper, this will vary according to your respective currency. As well as 10% off, you have early access to key launches and promotions (and believe me, the sell-out rate for these is high so it’s one place that ‘early access’ actually means something) and you receive priority processing and free shipping over £25. If you need something in a hurry, in my experience, you get it the very next day.
The biggest draw, particularly if you are more health minded than beauty minded, is the Personal Prescriptions from Shabir Daya, co-founder and in-house Pharmacist, who knows more about health and supplements than any other human I’ve ever encountered. It’s not intended to be a ‘medical’ consultation, but rather an expert view on products that may help your issues. I’m lucky to have access to this because (full disclosure) Gill, co-founder, is a very dear friend, and it’s been helpful on many occasions.
You will also be signed up for Gill’s weekly newsletter (a paper copy comes with each order if you prefer to read that way rather than from your inbox) and as well as being supremely informative (I have set many a friend onto Superior Joints) there are always discounts and offers. It arrives on a Saturday and ‘Saturday Treats’ are usually sold out by the end of the day. As well as that, Gill often drops in a free gift which is one of the benefits of being an independent company – you can do as you please, and she does. You can sign up for this anyway, whether you decide to be a VH Addict or not, HERE.
As a general rule, I’m membership averse – I can hardly keep up with my Tesco Club Card and 99 times out of 100 forget to use my Boots card – but if you’re an avid beauty (or supplement) fan member schemes can be very well worth having and this one definitely is. If you are a member of anything you feel is noteworthy, please do let me know and I can make a series out of this topic over the summer.
