The Barry M Silk collection has shades as delicate as bird’s eggs and a finish isn’t that dissimilar to an egg either, being somewhere between a matte and a sheen. I think that sometimes pastels need something to lift them – I guess you’d say these have a flat pearl finish; in any case, they’re very, very pretty.
You get a better idea of them here (the sun is in, the sun is out.. argh!) where they’re brighter so I’ll name check them all starting with the fawn shade: Truffle, Mist, Heather, Meadow, Blossom and Pearl.
Pearl is barely detectable on the nail wheel – on the actual nail I think you’d have to go to three coats so I’d worry about drying time because any top-coat you use will skew the silk finish, but as an alternative to the Tippex-like white nails, I greatly prefer it. Barry M nail polishes are brilliant value for money at £3.99 each and this collection launches on 19th February at Superdrug and Boots.
