Brrr! I’d forgotten how hard it is to do swatches on a really cold day – my arm is either covered in goosebumps or knitting stitch marks from my jumpers! But worth it for this beauty of a spring collection from bareMinerals. bareMinerals Modern Pop Spring 2015 is a pared back collection, both in number and colour, but it’s all the better for it. The Modern Icon Palette (£29) is nude based but a great edit, especially the peach shade.

I’m not really a fan of loose minerals but one of my favourite ever duos is a pressed mineral from bareMinerals (The Top Shelf) and I love the smooth formulas that go on beautifully and more importantly, stay put.

bareMinerals have included a cream eye pencil (£15) – it’s a very specific look that I’m wearing on my inner rims right now. I don’t know if I like it, but if you are a fan of the stark eye, it’s a winner. I know these pencils are supposed to make your eyes look bigger but I don’t think that’s achieved – it’s more of an unexpected, look again kind of eye. The Cream Glaze Top Coat (£16) is brilliant – it’s a very lightly pearl glazed gloss that used over lipstick gives it a milky look and a very handy thing to have in your make-up collection just to change things up a little.

The Marvellous Moxie Lipstick collection (£18 each) for spring is based on nude but they’re all warm and not too wash-out.

I could happily wear all of these peach spectrum shades but like the toffee tones of Fall In Love. From left to right: Dream Big, Express Yourself and Fall in Love.
The bareMinerals Modern Pop Spring 2015 collection launches in February next year.
