It’s love at first smell with this beautiful Annick Goutal fragrance, Le Chevrefeuille. Literally meaning Honeysuckle, I honestly had no idea that’s what it was (I didn’t know the word in French), so when I sprayed it I though initially it was Earl Grey tea; kind of smoky and sweet.

It dries down to a very pure, warm floral scent and is something of a changeling – what you start with has many permutations until you get to the finish. I loved the delicacy of it; it’s fresh flowers and green stalks and just, oh, pretty things! The Goutal house is good at emotional fragrances; if you get the right one it tugs at your heart-strings. The price starts at £48 HERE.
