The Sensai brand flies a bit under the radar compared to other similar brands but it harbours some hidden gems. I’ve recently tried the Sensai Eyelid Base that’s completely different to any other I’ve tried but gave me excellent results. I’m welded, really, to my Urban Decay eye primer, but the Sensai version differs in that it feels ‘wetter’ on application and has a luminous finish.

Once it dries on the lid, it doesn’t shrink, meaning that creases aren’t pulled or exaggerated and as I’d hoped, it kept my eye colour looking fresh and in place all day long. Whereas I can’t say I feel any moisturising effect from other primers, this one does feel hydrating without exacerbating oil. I might think twice if I had very oily lids, but otherwise, this feels like a stellar find. Primers are like the bin-liners in your weekly shop – not the most exciting thing to buy but a neccesity nonetheless – at £20 for 6g it’s a bit of an ouch moment but you need only the very tiniest amount so a little most certainly goes a long way.

The Sensai Eyelid Base is only available at Harrods (HERE) but I notice that there is a 10% off everthing offer today and plenty of Sensai in the sale.
