Looks like another love it or loathe it product from NIOD! If anyone has used the Herbal Energy Cleanser from Erborian, it’s very similar to that fine, oily, slippy feel, only this time, there are no silicones. In fact, there isn’t much of anything in NIOD Low Viscosity Cleaning Esterm – not even water. Instead, the formula uses sugar and avocado esters to remove make up and general grime.
Imagine an oil the consistency of water and you just about have it – all the fluidity of H20 but none of the drag or dehydrating feel. It’s far more slippy in feel than a micellar. Does it remove make up? This stuff obliterates mascara and anything else in its path so yes, as a cleanser, it’s a top, top performer that you can rinse off or take off with a cotton pad. I’d highly recommend hot cloth removal and although I prefer a non-rinse, having road tested NIOD Low Viscosity Cleaning Ester, the cotton pad removal method still leaves product very tangibly on your skin, so even I would prefer to wipe away with a hot cloth (or even cotton pad with warm water). Even after removing with a hot cloth, my skin feels flexible and soft.
In terms of novelty, it’s an absolute winner – I doubt you will have experienced anything quite like it and it’s the cleansiest cleanser I’ve ever used. But, to the touch – I imagine it could be a bit like peach fuzz; you’ll either love it or hate it. I’d strongly recommend trying it for the beauty curious – and I’d love to know what you think. It’s £30 but a little goes a long way; it’s not in stock yet but you can see more about it HERE and be notified when it’s ready. NB!! Just found it in stock HERE.
