Nails Inc Paint Can

Insert scream here! It’s taken me a couple of goes to get the Nails Inc Paint Can application right – what you’re looking at right now is my first attempt where I was far too handy with the spray! But, oh my goodness, this stuff really does work!

The first step is to apply a top/bottom coat such as Nails Inc Base & Topcoat, which I’m wearing here. Let it dry properly. Once the topcoat is dry, hold the Nails Inc Paint Can 10 cms away from your nail over some old newspaper or similar and spray each nail. As you can see, it’s an inevitability that it’s going to go all over your fingers. Actually, it’s such a fine spray, and this one, Shoreditch Lane is glittery so go big on newspaper because it does have rather a wide reach.

Once it’s dry (two or three minutes), paint it over with topcoat. Give that a good five minutes to really get properly dry and then rinse your hands with soap and warm water. What happens next is a bit of a beauty miracle!

All the residue that isn’t topcoated washes away very easily. I used a tea towel to gently go around the cuticle area and whip away any bits from there, and as you can see, the result is pretty near perfect.

This is an absolutely awesome result – one I wasn’t really expecting. Despite the fact there are several processes to go through, if you’re a wobbly nail polish applier for whatever reason, the Nails Inc Paint Can is the answer to everything. I’m delighted with this – I can’t do anything but recommend very highly to both the wobblers and the beauty curious. I need it in every colour and I’m expecting this stuff to totally sell out. It’s £10 HERE.

  1. Well, i will stick to applying the traditional way as it doesn’t make mess and I can do it, but this is nothing short of amazing! brilliant for wobbly hands a a true innovation. Wow, you don’t see something totally new very often!

Had the same effect completely by accident when using silver spray paint on a fancy dress costume other week. Effect was pretty much the same. Think this will work fabulously with metallics which are notorious for streaking on application.

  3. this looks so cool, but I’m concerned whatever I spray against will be ruined! does it wipe off surfaces easily?

  4. Erin

Think I will have to try this one out, it looks fab!

  5. That’s insane! It looks like a terrible mess after the spray, but wow! the finished result delivers!

  6. I would love to know the lasting power of this and if it comes off really easily. Other than that, it seems like a really great product!

    Pretty Mad Things .. x o

  7. I have been dying to know what this is like and now I really do want to try it x

  8. That looks absolutely amazing!! Thanks for sharing x

  9. Minty

I think I want to try this…. Though being the messy mare I am I think the back garden would be the place to do it!! How long did it last on your nails?

    1. Jane

I’ve only just put it on so not tested for longevity.

  10. OMG what an amazing concept – absolutely brilliant for nail polish nubes (or dress ups!) x

  11. Wow that’s a pretty cool idea! Not sure I’d be prepared for the mess though.
I’d be interested to see how long it lasts compared to normal polish – give us an update in a few days!

  12. this might be really interesting for stenciling/nail art… plus might also be a way to temporarily, but safely, wear the pigmented fingertip look i’ve seen in high fashion/beauty shoots…

  13. Pre-ordered! Am hopeless at painting my nails 🙂 should be nice for Christmas!

  14. Beate

The result is good. But the waste! Oh my! I think, this is like the “bodylotion whilst showering”. It’s just another gimmick.
As others have asked, I would like to know too, how the wear is in regards to longevity.

    1. From a business perspective, it’s the best idea ever. Guaranteed that the customer will use double the product? Win!

  15. Katie

    This is awesome!!!!

  16. It looks fantastic from a nail polish addict perspective but from an asthmatics point of view was it very aersol-y? (if that makes sense like deodrant aersol-y)
Did you feel like you were breathing in the fumes/particles?

    1. Jane

I personally didn’t feel that, but the glitter particles did go far and wide, so I think if you do have any asthma issues, you’d have to make your own call knowing that the particle distribution was… shall we say.. generous!

  17. I REALLY REALLY wnated to get this but it’s already sold out! It’s somethings that I need in my life…

I am at the age and weight where it’s hard to both reach my toes and see them at the same time… This looks like it would be perfect for pedicures! How’s the longevity?

For those that wanted it I noticed it’s on a QVC offer today (both colours still available when I last looked) for £27:50 along with a base and top coat.
