YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones Collector

If you’re going to call something a ‘collector’ item, it better be just that – much more beautiful and more exciting than the original version. So it is with YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones Collector palette which is absolutely stunning.

YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones Collector

Although YSL are great at producing exciting collector palettes, I believe that this is the first time that the bronzing powder has had its own special wrapping. What a great start! It’s lime green mock croc with the YSL logo in bright red for a colour clash that is everything right. By the way, the current YSL logo is known as the Cassandre logo –  was designed by Ukrainian-French painter, Adolphy Mouron Cassandre in 1961. Who knew?

Personally, I love the fact that the bronzer is matte – you won’t end up a twinkling fairy when the sun comes out. This shade is Fire Opal – there were three shade options but this palette has completely sold out on the YSL website and I’m linking through to John Lewis HERE which only has one option. Unhelpfully, it doesn’t say which it is.

You only need to sweep your brush lightly over the silky bronzer to get enough for a warming layer – while it’s pricey at £35, you need so little that I feel it will last a while. In the highly unlikely event that you don’t yet have a bronzer for summer, I love this for being flashy not trashy and the first Saharienne collector palette for YSL.
