Pale waterline pencils… I’m so not convinced about them! Yes, I do get that they make your eyes look brighter but it’s a very artificial brightness that can look stark. Other brands have brought this kind of inner rim pencil out before and after the initial hype you never hear about them again. I find Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Pencils amongst the very best at staying put, and I have tested both of these.

Both on my arm and in my eye, Walk of Shame (nude colour) lasted exceptionally well, but Heartless (pink) didn’t have the same staying power. If you’re applying a nude inner rim, you have to be really careful not to catch your bottom lashes with it – it’s one thing to nude out your inner rims, another thing to blank your lashes.

What’s notable about this pair is that they’re very soft and creamy – I’d easily double up Walk Of Shame as an emergency concealer and Heartless as a brightener on the inner corners of the eye or under brows. They’re £15.50 each HERE but I just don’t know, outside of Instagram, that they’re all that flattering. I’m saying this as a daily black khol wearer for whom any other khol is virtually unthinkable.. they’re going in the opposite colour direction of what I’m used to – if you don’t do a daily eye black out I think the new Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Pencils might be a whole other story.
